Waiting For Something To Happen
Interesting if you enjoy seeing someone’s brains splattered across the screen-not literally you sicko…Basically this bad-boy has become a source of cheap therapy.Archive for September, 2006
Oh No, Not You Again
Had an eventful weekend, and it’s been ages since the last post…sounds like time to type. Basically, everything starts and ends with last Saturday….ok maybe Friday, that’s when we almost missed out on being able to rent the car in time…excitement there for sure. Saturday however, started out with some Federal Gov’t tests bright and early at U de M. Still in the 48 hour wait for results as I type, so no news yet on any potential job offers. After the tests, it was hop in the car time and go to make it to Halifax in time for….
….the Rolling Stones show (…’s add excitement and suspense) Despite my tests and Amanda working Sat morning, we made it there only missing Sloan’s set, which we could hear walking towards the Commons anyway. My big plan to leave the car in Clayton Park and catch the shuttle into the city worked well also, because not 5 minutes after Amanda and I get to the Lacewood terminal for the shuttle, then Mom, Ian and Brown come walking up…..perfect timing for sure…if only the weather was as co-operative. In case no one heard, the show was a soggy, cold, and windy mess….my sweater I hung up upon getting home at 2AM Sunday morning, was still wet today….nasty, but we braved it anyway. Also ran into some people by chance from HFX and Freddy at the show in the crowd…which was also a pleasant surprise.
I’ve now seen the Stones twice….odd, never expected to see them once really. Also, I’ve discovered that I really find having a car handy. I was never much of a city driver before, but this weekend crusing around HFX and Moncton has been fun….sad when I had to return it today…oh well, wait for the cushy gov’t job then the wheels will be available.
Superstitious
*EDIT* So thanks to another page linking mine, this post has suddenly jumped in popularity. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome new readers, look around, enjoy, I’d like to point out this post is not only older, but boring, so…..you know….I can be exciting.
Another crazy horoscope…I don’t necessarily buy into them, but when they read as dramatic as this one, I get excited….
Aquarius
January 20 – February 17
The opportunity to make a change in your life that you may have been contemplating for a long time finally manifests itself today, dear Aquarius. This could be a move to a new neighborhood, a return to school for an advanced degree, an entirely new profession, or all of the above. Whichever it is, expect to spend a lot of time throughout the day discussing it with friends and family. Then move ahead with whatever plans you have.
I did just apply to jobs in Halifax and Ottawa yesterday…..
*Wave*
Sorry about the lack of updates. Not only am I never leaving the house it seems, I am also no longer updating here, so everyone must suspect I may be dead…..or at least fallen off the edge of the Earth. Mostly, time has been spent looking for work, wasting time playing the addictive Civilization III, or hanging out with Mandy when she’s not at work. My lack of money and lack of a decent job is getting me down I suspect-which explains the “no-show” I am doing, but….
….on that front, I’m still trying. Just not two minutes ago bookmarked some good jobs in HFX that I need to mail to, as well as applied for a decent one here in Moncton….so…the battle continues. Dad moved to BC without me knowing it for almost a good month this summer, crazy bastard. He’ll be back for the winter here soon, but is most likely going back out again next year, maybe to stay who knows. He did call here last weekend and tell me I should get on a plane and move there….most likely however I’ll be headed back to Halifax, or go off to Ontario….I know one thing though, not looking like I’ll be here within a year….just need a job to raise some “going away” $$$ haha.
So, I’m hungry and my back hurts, but I’ll leave with this. If I’m not around enough-call me on it haha. Seriously….just show up if you want….makes it easier, that way I can play games and see people KIDDING.
PS Headed to Halifax for the Stones, so if anyone wants to meet up (maybe, might be difficult that weekend but I am willing to try) drop me a line. Should have my own wheels for the thing too, so no buses thankfully. With that, adios.
