Just a filler update really. One more day of work stands between me and a trip to Halifax for some Paul MacCartney, then a drunken Seahorse show. Been sometime since I updated, and stuff has happened – trips to Fredericton(that’s plural buddy), some done on a whim; seeing animals in the zoo; and driving to Shediac twice in one day capped off by a jaunt to Nova Scotia “just because”.

Now it’s bedtime though but since I’ll have no time to be here updating the next 36 hours and I know you’re all dying to read something – here it is.

Between moving, and stating a new job, and working overnight constantly….I think I may be losing a little bit of grip. I mean, I’m not bat-shit crazy, but boy oh boy, do I feel “off”.

The worst I’ve noticed, is my complete apathy towards anything. I’m going through the motions behind the scenes it feels, I don’t care if I’m noticed, and I don’t care if I get recognized.

Yes this is brainless drivel, I’ve been up all night and the sun is out and I feel tired, but not.

It occurred to me, while at work overnight completely on my own, that right now I must honestly admit, the idea of meeting someone – I guess not the idea, but the drive we all feel from probably the later part of our elementary school years onward – that we want to be with someone? You know what I mean, well, right now it’s fucking dead and lifeless, and it freaks me out a bit. I mean, I can see the benefit and virtue and attractiveness and personality sparks to a few women I’ve met, either in my pre-zombie waking life, and now through a few various websites where lonely people chat to each other, and I realized that even though I recognize these factors, and see their importance, none of it strikes me so far as being important enough to want to care.

I’m not happy with this at all, but until something happens to shake me awake, I fear this is how it’s going to be. It’s depressing. I mean, some would love to be this way, theorically it allows you to take greater control of your life, you dictate the terms. But as someone who is really already emotional unavailable most of the time to begin with, well, this is a bad turn of events. I really don’t have any great ambition to be that lonely old guy who kids steer clear of on Halloween, but it seems I am my own worst enemy.

Shit, on the plus side, I am now living closer to the hookers now that I’ve moved. Love is available for $5 any night of the week.

I think I figured it out – I’m a bit player in my own life.

Not much to say, did the move – last day moving was a bastard, so sore. Working lots when I’m not moving. Had one day off since early last week, and won’t be walking out again for a day off until Sunday morning.

I need a vacation. Oh wait, I’m not eligible for one for six months.

To whom it may concern,

Screw tumblarity, unless you feel like posting in a quantity over quality fashion, it’s pointless. Mine is now a 6 and possibly falling each day, and I relish my 0 if one day it shall come.

Writing real words and ideas and feeling is better then posting other people’s work in some type of bullshit myspace-esque I use these things to define myself.

With that said though, I will still continue to post there, I still enjoy sharing awesome photos and mp3s.

So Tumblr has a new metric called “tumblarity” – presumably to show you how popular you are in numerical format.

No one operating a Tumblr site seems to know what the hell it means, but that the higher the number the better off you are.

I really hope fucking with this number doesn’t detract too much from my duties here.

In any event, you know where I am if I’m not around, desperately trying to win the popularity contest.

Also this song has been stuck in my head since getting an electronica classics 3 disc set because I was interested to see what it sounded like.  Some of you may remember it from Shaun of the Dead – where I first remember hearing it, although it’s a popular sports anthem as well apparently.

The video is weird I’m watching it now as I type for the first time.

So I was purposely mute on where I actually worked, particularly because it was a fortune 500 company that could have pontentially drawn some unwanted criticism – not for anything disgusting like polluting rivers or anything – but more for…inconvenience.

So here it is, for over two years I worked for UPS. There. Now that I’m no longer employed there, I have no problem telling anyone who may read this but didn’t know and was curious.

I worked the customer concerns quite a bit – I know the fuck ups – thankfully while there I got to learn call centre workforce management which was my eventual ticket out that place.

Now, I don’t profess to be on the cutting edge musically, but I do keep up. This little gem has been making the rounds and seems to a complete success, which is great because it’s fantastic really. I figured I’d share tonight after seeing the song and/or video in my blog reader for about the 45th time tonight….

Oh My God – Ida Maria

So I’m sick….again…..this time it’s the building at work though. The heat is off and the air exchanger is on as of two days ago, so now half the building is getting sick from the dust and crap – myself included – although excluding me is the mass panic with everything thinking they have swine flu. 1/3 of the centre called in or left early last night. I’ll miss this when I leave on Friday.

In the meantime, I’ve located my Meyers-Briggs personality profile. While I could have guessed at the professional stuff, the parts referring to personal relationships was very eye-opening.
